      Lunuganga By Teardrop Hotels is the former country retreat of renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa, set on a 12-acre estate with gardens created over 40 years. The property blends Italian Renaissance and Japanese garden styles, with emerald rice paddies, butterfly-shaped ponds, and moss-covered Ming pots. Guests receive a guided garden tour upon arrival, led by knowledgeable staff who explain the history of each garden area.

      The on-site restaurant serves a short but thoughtful menu of local delicacies and contemporary Asian fusion dishes, with special diet menus available on request. Breakfast is à la carte or continental, served on the terrace overlooking the lake.
